| The Los Angeles Times has an interesting article on the hits and flops of 2009. Ticket sales topped 10 BILLION for the first time, proving movies are recession proof and adding more ammunition to my argument that Florida should be doing more to attract film production. A University of West Florida study shows the state receives $1.44 for every $1.00 it spends on film incentives, and the dollar isn't spent until after the state has already collected the $1.44! Stay tuned. This is going to be an issue in the 2010 session! Read it here. | |

We must reclaim respect and fairness for Florida's public servants and work to solve the health care crisis in Florida, particularly as it effects our most vulnerable: our children, our elderly, and our sick.
Michelle grew up close to where Susan B. Anthony campaigned relentlessly for suffrage. Here is one of her favorite quotes: “It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union.... Men, their rights and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less.”
