As one of the leading advocates for truely renewable energy in the state legislature, I applaud Lamar Advertising for their efforts to convert a number of billboards to solar and wind. Here's a portion of their news release:
Lamar Advertising Co., the 108-year-old company that operates more than 150 outdoor advertising companies in more than 40 states and Puerto Rico, announced today a multidimensional project to convert some 1,370 billboards throughout Florida to renewable energy. The $12.5-million project will place solar or wind power on billboards throughout the state, creating 1,370 individual renewable energy systems that will return energy to the electrical grid. |

We must reclaim respect and fairness for Florida's public servants and work to solve the health care crisis in Florida, particularly as it effects our most vulnerable: our children, our elderly, and our sick.
Michelle grew up close to where Susan B. Anthony campaigned relentlessly for suffrage. Here is one of her favorite quotes: “It was we, the people; not we, the white male citizens; nor yet we, the male citizens; but we, the whole people, who formed the Union.... Men, their rights and nothing more; women, their rights and nothing less.”
~Susan B. Anthony
